Kongu Engineering College established in 1984, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, accredited by NAAC for 5 years with the grade of “A” and an autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University Chennai, has completed 33 years of dedicated and excellent service in the field of technical education. The college offers 14 UG, 19 PG and 16 research programmes in Engineering and Applied Sciences. It is one of the best self financing engineering colleges imparting high quality technical education in Tamil Nadu, India, and is well-known for its technical excellence, modern facilities, record of performance with excellent results and enterprising students. Ranked 2nd Position in Tamilnadu and 19th Position in India among Engineering Institutes in India (including IITs and NITs) by CSR Magazine (June 2016). Ranked 42nd position at all India level by “Outlook” magazine, 3rd Position in Tamilnadu and 29th Position in private Engineering colleges in India by “The Week” Magazine. Ranked 2nd position in Self financing College in Tamilnadu and 57th position in Engineering colleges in India by NIRF ranking. It has an active Industry-Institute Partnership (IIP) Cell to interact with industries. Received Sustainable Institute Industry Partnership Award consecutively for two years (2014 & 2015) from the Institution in Society for Educational and Entrepreneurship Development, Chennai. It has got NBA accreditation for most of the UG programmes and is an ISO certified institution. It has also got the Best Engineering College award and the Best Principal Award from ISTE. It has established a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and won the National Award presented by the President of India on Technology Day in New Delhi. Its Entrepreneurship Management Development Cell won Best E-Cell, Entrepreneurship Eco System Builder Award 2015 from Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship at New Delhi, India. AICTE has awarded Most Clean Campus Award in India and Most Clean Campus Award 2017 in Southern Region.

ABOUT KEC NI ACADEMY

The LabVIEW Academy program provides academic institutions with a classroom curriculum package that supports both credit and non-credit courses. LabVIEW Academy is for anyone seeking LabVIEW education and knowledge through an academic institution over the course of a semester. After completing the program, students have the opportunity, knowledge, and tools to attempt the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) exam. The LabVIEW Academy program uses a blended learning model that combines face-to-face teaching with engaging content and hands-on lab exercises. This model prepares students for the demands of industry and higher education in engineering, computer science, and related fields.

IEEE Student Branch-29741, KONGU ENGINEERING COLLEGE was formed on 2001 to provide various Technical events, Seminars, Workshops and Symposiums to keep the student community technically competent. Our objective is to bridge the gap between industry and students, while promoting and providing an intellectually stimulating university environment for all students. IEEE Student Branch, KEC aims to provide an interactive platform for students to develop their professional and technical abilities. Since the inception, it has been at the helm directing and promoting technical expertise by organizing various events all-round the year with well-defined objectives

IEEE-WIE (Women In Engineering) , an Affinity group of the Student was formed to promoting women engineers and inspiring girls to follow their academic interests to a career in engineering. Our objective is to taking care about the needy Students for promoting and providing an intellectually stimulating environment for all students.

ABOUT VIRUKSHA

As Innovation,Entrepreneurship and Real Time Challenges gaining more relevance.KEC-NI Technology Innovation Centre (LabVIEW Academy) is organising ‘VIRUKSHA 2K18’ a National Level Technical LabVIEW based Paper presentation,Project Presentation and workshops for students of Engineering colleges.It will be develop the innovation of the budding engineers.It is also an attempt to bring the young learners,industry partners and community members together to share their ideas and experiences gained in using the above events is open to explore the creative and technical ideas.
